Rally for Sally
Got this via email today. I don’t have a lot of time, but I will be writing a bit more about this as I get more information gathered together. If you have more detailed information along with links, feel free to comment on this post.
The Rally for Sally and Christian Free Speech will be at the State Capitol in the First Floor Rotunda on Wednesday, APRIL 2, 2008. The Program will begin promptly at noon but please begin arriving at 11:15 am as there are delays at the security checkpoints when large numbers of people come to the Capitol.
The program will only take about 30 minutes then we will break to drop off cards to Rep. Kern’s office, Speaker Chris Benge’s office and Governor Henry’s office.
Please encourage your congregation to join you in attendance. Also, you might suggest that members contact their own Representatives and encourage them to attend.
Let’s pack the Capitol with thousands of people to Stand with Sally and Stand for the Traditional Family.

The rally at the capitol is worth attending. If you cannot attend, write your legislators in defense of Sally, free speech, marriage, and the traditional family unit!
Representative Kern faced vicious attacks for speaking out against the homosexual agenda. The lobby even brought her family into the fight. She deserves our support. For articles and a look at the real hate campaign, please visit the Americans for Truth web site at http://www.americansfortruth.com.
It is truly amazing to me how people that I suppose might be human beings complain about hate speech which Rep Kerns did not speak. She only spoke on the agenda.Yet these yellow belly liars and abominations of GOD say they want to hurt or kill her and her family.NOW I believe that is HATE speech. You hate mongers want Sally and her family then you will have to go through me and 80%of us okie’s. YOU CAN’T TOUCH THIS.
One more time, there is NO gay agenda. However there seems to be an agenda on Kern’s part, using hate and bigotry to get re-elected. An agenda and strategy tried and true in Oklahoma politics at the cost of it’s citizens…
agenda
Thomas is probably right that most gay people do NOT have an agenda.
However, Kern has a right to say whatever she wants without being lambasted, just as Thomas has the same right.
I say let the free market decide.
Christians must focus ! no hate, or hate thoz who want to destroy your “way of life” ? (public schools)
homosexuals want to raise/teach/influence/peddle/use your children cuz they cannot have therz !
an Okie from Muscogee still thinks queers should live with steers in Texas !
when did we develope a ‘free’ market for standards of living ?
“free” speech is only for thoz who will listen !
As it stands, G, the free market, aka the majority of Americans will be against the agenda that some gays are attempting to impress upon everybody else.
This includes myself, but I’m not going to sit here and call Thomas, for example, a queer, because I do not think that he would raise/teach/influence/peddle my children, because I would not allow it. And I suspect that my wishes would be respected.
I’ve written a lot about the homosexual “agenda” in the past and have tried to see both sides. I’ve even softened my stance a little, believe it or not. While I strongly oppose the lifestyle as a destructive one, I’m still of the belief that I hate the lifestyle and not the person.
Hence, Kern can say what she wants, and I even agree with her. BUT those other Americans, you know, those gay ones, they have the same rights as you and me. i.e. the right to the freedom of speech. That’s where the free market comes in. People can speak freely all they want, but if no one listens, it becomes effectively moot.
the gay “agenda” has become an “agenda”, because a select few have given an ear to said agenda. ie the media and many politically correct politicians, but those do NOT represent the majority of Americans.
Mee, thank you for helping to identify those who promote the ‘gay’ agenda
ie the media and ‘many’ – politicians… i thot politicians were spoz to ‘represent the majority’ of Americans ?
are you suggesting our elected Representatives are bot-n-paid-for like advertising buys media ?
rather than ’soften’ a stance, i encourage you to harden your sword to speak the truth against gays who want to change our Churches.
It may be true that the majority of the homosexual and lesbians may not have an agenda but it is like saying illegals are only here to support their families.Homosexual organizations do have an agenda to force acceptance of their way of life. That will NEVER happen. The illegals are doing the same with their agenda with a group called LaRaza.(THE RACE).What ever sin we live in we WILL be judged.WE all have enough of our own.So these organizations need to stop trying to force their sin on our family’s.It is no different than a political party or our government forcing on us what they want, not what the people want.As long as the homosexuals and legal immigrants dont speak out about these agendas then people WILL believe they ALL support the agenda.Legal immigrants against illegals have now started speaking out and have organized.Groups are called ( You Don’t Speak For Me,) and ( Mothers Against Illegals).Where are the groups speaking against the organized Homosexual and Muslim Agenda’s? I will tell you where. For now no where because they are either lazy cowards or the believe in the agendas. There is no middle ground in these issue’s.You are for or Against. If you are against then organize and fight, unless you are as i said before,A COWARD!!!
It is impossible to engage any organization with this kind of rhetoric. If blogging and dealing with politicians and people just in general has taught me anything, it is that one must approach all Americans with respect and a willingness to talk.
Name calling, distrust, mud-slinging, etc accomplishes nothing. This much I have learned, guys. Am I wrong? Perhaps, but it’s how I’ve decided to live my life now. I grow weary of hateful discussions, anger, distrust, non-intellectual conversation and generally anything that promotes division.
It’s kind of like that Stryper song I posted a while back. “Look what we can do, when we stand together.” Sure that’s a cliche saying, but there’s a lot of truth to it.
Do I give up my conservative roots or everything I stand for? Nope. I’ve just learned to approach it in a more respectful manner. I’ve found much more is accomplished in this way than simply standing and screaming.
